In today's ever changing word of technology we are leaning less on batteries and more on cables to stay connected with our laptops. Most people know that a fully charged battery will only last 2 to 5 hours. At some point you're going to need a power source and a cable to negotiate the transition. The power cable has benefits that a battery will never be able to deliver.

First, a power cord is going to protect your pc in case of a power surge. Second, you are going to be providing direct power to your laptop enabling it to run at peak performance. The power cord obviously provides you the ability to charge your battery. If you travel often you no longer have to depend on battery power alone. There's an array of auto adapters to fit any size, make and model. There are even adapters for the frequent fliers that can't go a minute without their notebook.

Believe it or not the average laptop user has 2 power cords. There is nothing more frustrating than having some work to finish only to find out that you left your power cord at home. A power cord weighs less than a soda and easily fits in any small space.

Keep in mind that all laptops are not the same. An HP power cord may fit your Gateway notebook but it may not work properly. Power cords are different in size and wattage for different models. Some people thing that power cords are overpriced and I have to admit I agree. However if you're on the go and have no other alternative the price is small compared to productivity.

When you're making you decision on what power cord to chose don't forget to make sure the cord has surge protection built in. Make sure there is a guarantee of some sort or another. Sekian lama saya memendam keinginan untuk menulis artikel mengenai hal ini, tetapi baru sekarang sempat. Mungkin karena kemarin saya baru di banned oleh tuan muda adsense.

Sekarang saya bagikan tips, boleh dibilang triknya, tetapi nantinya kemampuan andalah yang menentukan, bukan kemampuan mencurangi Tuan Muda Google.

Apakah selama ini anda tidak mengclick sendiri iklan Google Adsense yang ada diwebsite anda, lalu anda merasa pasti selamat tidak dibanned Google Adsense ?

Tidak sama sekali, banyak faktor yang menyebabkan publisher di banned meskipun tidak mengclick iklan sendiri. Faktor utama yang paling penting adalah perbandingan Impression terhadap Jumlah CLICK. Biasanya jumlah click tidak boleh lebih dari 30% dari jumlah impression.

Misalnya : Jumlah impression mencapai 1000, dan jumlah click mencapai 369. Dari situ anda sudah harus berhati-hati.

Anda perlu tahu bahwa kita yang menggunakan dynamic IP dan menggunakan suatu layanan dari provider tertentu, kita tetap saja berada dalam SUBNETWORK yang sama. misalnya saya menggunakan speedy, subnet saya tetap 222.124.xxx.xxx, jadi bagaimanapun anda mematikan kemudian menghidupkan speedy anda, anda tetap berada di subnet yang sama.

- GeoIp, selain subnet, google adsense juga bisa melacak darimana negara dan kota visitor kita datang, apalagi anda yang tinggal di USA , kode pos, DMA CODE juga bisa dideteksi. Jika dalam 3 bulan visitor semuanya berada dalam subnet dan negara yang sama, tahu deh,…

- Proxy IP / Anonymizer , jika anda atau visitor anda menggunakan proxy server yang terkenal ataupun proxy server yang meninggalkan header yang tidak bersih, misalnya meninggalkan USER AGENT yang jelas2 meninggalkan identitas KE-PROXY-AN mereka, hati2 saja. Advertiser yang membeli adwords kadang2 memblock visitor yang menggunakan proxy server, dan jika sudah sering, mereka akan melaporkan situs anda ke adsense.

Kombinasi dari:

- Browser, ini merupakan kombinasi yang digunakan robot adsense untuk mendeteksi invalid clicks. perlu diketahui bahwa setiap surfing nama USER AGENT kita anda dikirimkan ke server?

- Operating System, ini juga akan dikirimkan ke server dan bisa dibaca javascriptnya adsense.

- Resolusi monitor, ini juga kombinasi yang menjadi pertimbangan robot adsense melacak invalid clicks.

Mungkin anda bisa mempelajari lebih lanjut dengan memasangkan hit counter yang bisa memberikan informasi lengkap ke anda, dari sana anda akan mengerti lebih jauh mengenai data2 apa saja yang bisa dibaca javascript.

Buat yang mengikuti program Google Adsense, mungkin sudah tidak aneh mendengar cerita publisher yang diblokir secara permanen oleh Google baik karena “non-compliance with AdSense policies” (tidak sesuai dengan kebijakan AdSense) atau “posing a significant risk to AdWords advertisers” (hal risiko yang signifikan untuk AdWords).

Pokoknya, hindari di dan ikuti aturan main yang terkait dengan konten. Misalnya, jika ada web/blog berpusat di sekitar topik yang dilarang (seperti perjudian atau pornografi), Google dapat me-nonaktifkan penyajian AdSense untuk situs web/blog Anda.

Siapa yang tidak ngeri bila akun adsense di banned karena tuduhan terkait dengan “click fraud” (klik penipuan). Tidak ada seorangpun yang tahu dan memiliki pemahaman yang jelas tentang cara Google menentukan “invalid clicks” (klik yang tidak valid), tetapi cerita dibawah ini dapat mengundang AdSense untuk lebih hati-hati lagi dalam menerapkan aturannya. Ada sebuah proses banding di Google meski itu tidak menjamin bahwa account AdSense Anda akan aktif kembali bahkan jika Anda memberikan semua rincian yang diperlukan (seperti server web log). Aaron greenspan adalah pengguna AdSense di webnya yang memiliki pendapatan lumayan, sampai dia menerima email dari Google menyatakan bahwa account telah di-banned.

Begini bunyi surat cinta dari google :

While going through our records recently, we found that your AdSense account has posed a significant riskto our AdWords advertisers. Since keeping your account in our publisher network may financially damage our advertisers in the future, we’ve decided to disable your AdSense account.

(Kami menemukan bahwa account AdSense Anda berisiko yang signifikan untuk AdWords. Untuk menjaga account penerbit iklan dari rusaknya jaringan kami di masa depan, kami telah memutuskan untuk menonaktifkan account AdSense Anda).

Aaron menulis di Huffington Post bahwa account AdSensenya telah dinonaktifkan tanpa peringatan literal, ia pun mencoba mencari tahu dan menghubungi pihak-pihak yang terkait, dari mulai Customer Service hingga Google forum namun tanpa semuanya menemui jalan buntu.

Jika akun publisher AdSense dinonaktifkan untuk klik yang tidak sah, siapapun tidak berhak atas pembayaran apapun dari Google dan semua yang sekarang didapat akan dikembalikan kembali ke pemilik Ad Words. Hal yang sama terjadi dengan Aaron yang saat itu memperoleh sekitar $ 721 dari AdSense tetapi pembayaran telah berhenti setelah account di banned.

Karena bingung tidak tahu mau kemana lagi. Aaron akhirnya memutuskan untuk menempuh jalur hukum demi aksi $ 721.00. Dengan satu tuntutan : Google tidak dapat membuktikan bahwa ada kesalahan yang dilakukannya dan menuding deteksi algoritma Google tidak sempurna. Biaya pengadilannya sendiri cuma $ 40.

Sebagai catatan, Akun AdSensenya telah dinonaktifkan pada tanggal 9 Desember 2008. mengajukan perkara ke pengadilan terhadap Google pada 15 Januari 2009 dan pada 2 Maret 2009, hakim menyampaikan putusan berikut:

“I don’t think I have the power here in Palo Alto small claims courtto make you reinstate his account, but I think you owe this young man $721.1 think there might be money in Google’s treasury for that.”

(Menurut hemat saya, saya tidak memiliki kekuatan untuk sebuah perkara sederhana di wilayah Palo Alto ini untuk membuat Anda (Google) mengembalikan akunnya kembali, namun menurut saya Anda berhutang ke pemuda ini 721. Saya rasa mungkin ada uang kas di Google untuk itu).

Dan Google pun dinyatakan kalah dalam kasus itu dan diharuskan membayar sesuai ucapan hakim. Pertanyaannya, kenapa google bisa kalah? Salah satu alasannya adalah karena pengacara mereka tidak dapat meyakinkan hakim tentang cara pendeteksian “click fraud”. Dan Google tidak mau membeberkan rahasia cara pendeteksian algoritma mereka di depan hakim. Tapi satu hal, kasus seperti ini dapat meyakinkan banyak ex-pengguna AdSense untuk mengikuti jejak Aaron.

Key differences between Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

Adobe Systems is the World leader in Graphic and Web Development software. Many of its products are household names such as Photoshop and Acrobat PDF reader. Most professional graphic designers using programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign on a daily basis. This article will focus on the differences between these three programs.

I think part of the confusion, is that certain tasks can be done in more than one of these programs. For example you can find vector-drawing tools available inside Photoshop and InDesign, even though Illustrator is the predominant vector drawing program. The key to getting the most out of these three programs is to understand what their key functions are and how they can be used together.

Okay so lets look at each program separately. We'll start with Adobe Photoshop, which is probably the best known out of the three. Photoshop is a professional image editing software primarily used for editing bitmap images and image manipulation. Bitmap images are images, which are defined by their pixel structure. In other words digital bitmaps can be broken down into millions of tiny pixels and each pixel has its own attributes. Bitmap images are also referred to as raster images. The most common type of bitmap image is a photographic image. Whether shot on film and scanned into the computer or whether digitally shot, photos are made up of millions of tiny pixels. So simply put Photoshop is a tool used to edit photographic images. It also has the ability to do lots of other things but the core function of Photoshop is to edit Photographic images. If you go down to your local newsagent and pick up any magazine, chances are very good that the images in that magazine would have been edited or altered using Photoshop. Sometimes the adjustments can be minor such as subtle lighting or sharpening adjustments, and other times they could be major like applying a filter or special effect. Images can be comprised of several images in the form of a collage. This effect can also be created in Photoshop.

Adobe Illustrator on the other hand is a vector-drawing program. Vector images are the other main type of digital image. Unlike bitmap images, vector images consist of dots which are joined together with lines, each line defined as a mathematical formula. Vectors are very good for creating images, which contain large sections of the same color. So for example a navigation button on your web site, your company logo, or any non-photographic image would be better off created as a vector. Illustrator is the World's premiere vector drawing tool, so if you were tasked with creating any kind of 'flat' art, such as a corporate profile, including logos, sign work, letterheads etc, chances are you would use Adobe Illustrator. Adobe InDesign is the newest out of the three programs and is a page layout or publishing program. InDesign is used for putting together stuff like corporate brochures, documents, magazines, newsletters or advertisements. InDesign's specialty is working with documents that contain a large amount of type or text. Often designers will use all three programs on the same project. For example we recently created some new course outlines so we used Illustrator to create our logo and a few other vector graphics, we used Photoshop to apply a special shadow effect to some bitmap images, and finally we imported all those elements from Illustrator and Photoshop into InDesign where we added the copy and defined the layout.
